About the destination

The bay nestled in a verdant valley and the town of Akyaka within it are ideal for catching the wind as this area is known for its constant thermal winds. Usually, the wind starts blowing around 11-12 in the morning. Conveniently, after a good rest and a good night’s sleep, one can catch the wind until sunset.

The 3 km long coastline is quite wide and shallow, and there are no tall buildings, trees, or other obstacles around making it easy easy to kite for both beginners and advanced.

The wind direction captivates not only water sports enthusiasts but also lovers of the scenery. Seven rivers flow into the Aegean Sea near Akyaka, making the water exceptionally clear and azure. The less crowded coastline allows tourists to escape the hustle and bustle and engage in their favorite outdoor activities surrounded by nature.

Accommodation

One of the recommended hotels – “Elif Hanim Hotel & Spa” – is located in Akyaka, just 23 km from the popular Turkish resort of Marmaris. The hotel features a restaurant, a bar, and offers free Wi-Fi.

The hotel, located just a 3-minute drive from the beach, features its own SPA center where, for an additional fee, you can indulge in relaxing Turkish treatments such as hamams, massages, and more. Additionally, the hotel offers an outdoor pool and a separate pool for children.

For those seeking exclusivity, we recommend staying at the ‘Balèze Boutique Hotel.’ Recently built, this boutique hotel stands out for its comfort and modern minimalist style.

If you plan to stay for an extended period or seek complete privacy, then we can offer exclusive, newly renovated apartments where you will be among the first to stay, right in the center of Akyaka.
